Stanislava Stoyanova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1971, where she lives and works.
In 1990, she graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sofia, and in 1998 from the National Academy of Art.
She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and projects related to contemporary visual art. Her artistic career began with a series of exhibitions in Italy, including presentations at Mentana Gallery and the Museum of Poetry in Florence, as well as numerous exhibitions in Bulgaria at Triadis Gallery, Arosita Gallery, Yuzina Gallery and A Cube Contemporary in Sofia.
Among her more significant international participations are the Contemporary Art Fair in Hangzhou, China (2014), and Contemporary Istanbul, Turkey (2014), where she was represented by Yuzina Gallery, Sofia.
In 2015, she took part in the Imago Mundi project of the Benetton Foundation, presented as a collateral exhibition during the 2015 Venice Biennale in Venice, Italy.
From 2007 to 2013, she worked as a teaching assistant in painting at the National Academy of Art in Sofia. She has also worked as an art teacher at the Yuzina Children’s Academy, as an art consultant in private galleries — Yuzina Gallery (2011–2014) and Monev Gallery (2014–2015) — and as Administrative Director of the Foundation for Contemporary Art (2015–2016).
In 2016, she founded BLUESS ART STUDIO, an educational art platform for children.
